Counselling

Online support for adults aged 18 and over across the UK.

A calm, confidential space to pause, be heard and make sense of what you are carrying. Together we can begin to find a way forward.

You do not need to have the right words

You may simply know that something feels difficult, confusing, heavy, or harder to manage than it used to.

Counselling gives you the time to pause and talk things through in a safe, confidential space.

Together, we can begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing at a pace that feels right for you.

Calm sea horizon representing space, reflection and hope.

How I Can Support You

People come to counselling for many different reasons. You don’t need to fit into a particular category to benefit from having space to talk. Some of the areas I commonly work with include:

  • anxiety, stress or feeling overwhelmed

  • low mood, loss of motivation or feeling stuck

  • pregnancy, postnatal depression and the emotional adjustment to parenthood

  • bereavement, grief and loss

  • trauma, and the impact of past and present experiences

  • anger, shame, low confidence or difficulties with self-worth

  • relationship difficulties, life changes and transitions

Military Personnel, Veterans and Families

I also have a particular interest in supporting military personnel, veterans and military families.

Military life can present unique pressures, including separation, transition, loss, identity changes, family strain and the expectation to keep going even when things feel difficult. Counselling can offer a safe space to explore these experiences without judgement.

This interest is both personal and professional, and I continue to develop my knowledge and experience in supporting the Armed Forces community.

You do not need to have a military connection to work with me. I welcome clients from all backgrounds.

Starting counselling

Taking the first step can often feel like the hardest part.

If you’re considering counselling but aren’t sure where to begin, a free 20-minute online consultation gives us the oppotunity to talk about what has brought you here, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of how I work. There is no pressure to continue afterwards. It’s simply an opportunity to decide whether counselling with me feels like the right fit for you.

If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, that’s completely okay. Finding the right counsellor is an important part of the process.

Online Counselling

Counselling doesn’t have to take place in the same room to feel meaningful.

Online sessions allow you to access support from a private space where you feel comfortable, whether you’re nearby or elsewhere in the UK. All sessions take place by secure video call, making counselling more accessible if you have work commitments, caring responsibilities, health needs or simply prefer the comfort of your own surroundings.

Before we begin, we will talk through how counselling works, including confidentiality, privacy and what happens if there are any technical difficulties during a session.
